Innovation Design

Most organizations say they want to be customer-centric. Few can see past their own operational biases to get there. My job in an innovation project is to be an advocate for the user, someone who can think around corners, and find hidden capabilities inside the organization that can be leveraged to solve real problems. I work with a rollout mentality from day one, which means never presenting ideas that don't match a possible future for the people and the organizational realities that have to carry them. This means product design. Culture change. Systems and ecosystem evolution. Each one is a world of expertise into itself, and I offer a unique ability to span across them, creating shared ownership and collaborative creation that maps directly onto your organization's strengths.

While traveling I always keep a book to capture the things that catch my mind. i see and think. Some times it is a scrap of paper, other times is a cathedral. I was once told that to really look at a thing you should try and draw it. So I try. This is a record of a summer is spent living in Copenhagen Denmark.

Shooting photos has afforded me an excuse to pry, something to offer, and a persistent means to get outside my comfort zone.
