I love being a human-centric designer. It is the meeting point for so many fascinating disciplines; cultural understanding, human-centric thinking, life span design, 3 dimensional form, applied technology, aesthetics, empathy, industrial production, material science, and marketing, just to name a few. I enjoy working as collaborator, advocate, creative translator & insight finder.

Isn’t every creative act really experience design? The principles for physical and digital UX are nearly identical. In the built world we tap more directly into the emotional lives of our audiences and give them a world to explore. While in the digital world we access metrics and analytics to guide the goal setting in district ways. Either way it is one part theater and one part behavioral economics – the fun stuff.

I prefer “creative” the adjective to “creative” the noun, but it is a long standing convention that I can live with. Brand / marketing ideas and executions are about building a world for your audience to step into and have a walk around. Any good creative idea is just a jumping off place for a multitude of expressions across messaging, experiences, and media.
